Noel: “In Bolton Jimi was in bad form. He messed through only three or four numbers. If you play Bolton and don’t deliver, you don’t hang around after the show. We were advised to take the next train to Blackpool.”

Jimi jammed with B.B. King (guitar), Elvin Bishop (guitar), John Martin (guitar), Buzzy Feiten (bass), Phillip Wilson (drums), Al Kooper (organ), Paul Butterfield (harmonica) and Stewart (piano).
Jimi taped the show on a reel-to-reel deck. At one point B.B. King says, “Jimi Hendrix, you’re a stinker.”
