Accommodation (up to the 13th): The Shoreham Hotel and Motor Inn, Connecticut Avenue/Calvert Street, Washington 8. While staying at this hotel Jimi composed the song "Bold As Love" there. The original handwritten lyrics were sold for $9,000 during the Sotheby's auction in New York City on 17 December 1990.
