1967.
🍀🌰 Washington DC, "Ambassador Theatre"
Concert (two shows).

Songs: unknown

Between 9 and 13 Washington DC, Jimi gets arrested jaywalking.
Neville Chesters (Roadie): "I remember it because he didn't have a passport with him and there was great hassle. Being black and in Washington D.C. was not an easy subject for him. And he didn't have any form of id with him. It took him a long time to persuade the police that somebody would vouch for him and I remember a couple of phone calls back to the hotel and I think again Chas went down with his passport, etc. They did keep him in for quite a long time. Probably four hours I think. Mitch just went off shopping across the street, naturally! I think Jimi was fined. I have the sum in my mind of forty dollars but that sounds like an awful lot of money to be fined for jaywalking... But the main thing was it got a bit hot because we thought that he was gonna miss the gig." (interview conducted by Caesar Glebbeek, 23 March 1989).
