Jimi is again wearing his black mourning band with the large white โ€˜Kโ€™ and โ€˜Sโ€™ letters on it (heโ€™s got it on inside out and upside down though!), that he wore during the first show at Norman, Oklahoma the day before, obviously for the thirteen students studentโ€™s shot at Kent State, only (now) five days previous. Four died and one was permanently paralysed. Six days after this show two students were shot dead and very many wounded, by police, in a hail of gunfire at the predominantly Afro-American Jackson State University under similar circumstances.
It appears that Devon at least and possibly Collette may have accompanied him on from Norman as he references Devon during Red House.
