1967. 🌳 Bristol, Colston Hall, Colston Street, England. Concert (two shows - 18.30 and 20.45). Support: The Move, Pink Floyd, Amen Corner, Outer Limits, Eire Apparent, The Nice. Attended by Roger Taylor (later of ‘Queen’) Accommodation: Grand Spa Hotel, Sion Hill, Clifton, Bristol.
(Bristol Evening Post): There was a lot of broken guitars on the stage and glasses at the bar. Excited and drunk Welsh teenagers had to be deported after incidents at the auditorium bar. Others on the other side of the Severn Bridge came to support a Welsh band, Amen Corner. Screaming like patients, they insulted the other groups and threatened the police with brandishing stools and bottles. Then there was Pink Floyd and The Nice, who on their side destroyed an electric organ and shattered a few thousand pairs of eardrums before getting lost in a cloud of colorful smoke.
1968. 🌳 Supported by Cat Mother & the All Night Newsboys, The Experience play at Miami Beach, Florida’s Convention Hall. Afterwards, the group fly back to New York City where they move into the Pan Garden Hotel next to Madison Square Garden in midtown-Manhattan.

1966. 🌳 London, Rehearsals. Jimi jams with Deep Feeling (managed by Viv Prince, who also owned the Knuckles Club) at the Knuckles Club, London. A very small club, in the basement of a Greek restaurant, owned by (Vivian) ‘Viv’ Prince, ex-drummer of the Pretty Things.

Noel: “New amps, record crowd.”
Chas: "Keith Emerson was a guy Jimi should have done some work with. Jimi often sat in with The Nice, and Keith really played well with him. They could have really put something together, but I was under the gun to finish up the album and we couldn’t spare the time.”

↪ Jimi, Chas Chandler and Terry McVay arrive at London International Airport. Entry stamp was cancelled because Jimi did not have a work permit. Later a new stamp was issued and a seven day non work permit issued after a lot of talking by Chas. Eventually they managed to get Jimi admitted into the UK on the grounds that Jimi, as the writer of several songs, had come to collect royalties due to him.

Billy appears to have given up after the hopless ‘JHE’ session the previous night.
Cox checked out of the Hotel and returned to Nashville (obvously pissed off).
BC: "The whole problem started as soon as we got to the house in Woodstock. There were people who just did not want this band to succeed. It was one thing after another. There was the shoot-out down at the front gate of the Boiceville house, the ‘infiltration’ of people into the house, drugs being put into people's food just a lot of unnecessary, underhanded things being done for no reason. I didn't have time to try and figure out who was behind all this and why were they doing so. When you get down to people fighting with guns out in front of the house, there is something seriously wrong. All I knew was that I was going to do the Woodstock gig, help out my buddy, and carry my ass back to Nashville. That was my focus. After Woodstock, I hung around as long as I could, but there was just too much bullshit going down all around him. Jimi had gone down into this well. He said, 'Man, I just can't get it together. I've gotta rest my head.' He told me that if he could, he was thinking of going off to Africa with Colette I wished him Godspeed and told him I was glad I had been able to help him. That was it. I didn't think I was ever going to be involved with him again."

Jimi and Eddie prepared more mixes and made some overdubs for Gypsy Eyes, even deciding to abandon a second drum part added by Mitch in May. Eddie wrote "check with Jimi for usage" on the tape box of the mixes. (they were never used)

As the night progressed Jimi guided the group through recordings of “Rollin’ Stone”, “In From The Storm” and a rendition of Cream’s “Politician”. "En Till" club - JHE (with Jimi on bass) jam with various Swedish musicians. On his way to today's gig at the Tivoli Gardens, Hendrix asks a girl for directions. Her name is Eva Sundqvist. The band is turned out of its hotel. 🌳 1968. The JHE flew in from Linate Airport, Milano, to Leonardo da Vinci (aka Fiumicino) Airport, Roma. Perform two shows at Teatro Brancaccio in Rome, Italy supported by Doctor K’s Blues Band, The Triad, Balletto Franco Estill Group and Pier Franco Colonna. Among the songs performed were “Hey Joe,” “The Burning Of The Midnight Lamp,” “Fire,” and “Foxey Lady.” Jimi Hendrix is photographed on stage during The Experience’s second show on May 24, 1968 at Teatro Bracaccio in Rome, Italy. Mitch: “Rome was very pleasant. I remember that Jimi nearly got arrested. We had been to the Coliseum and were caught by the police at dawn with several young ladies.” Two shows at 16:30 and 21:30. At the end of the set he came backstage to meet us and asked if he could have a little jam. I offered him my guitar but he said "No, you play very well, I'll pay bass."
