Todayโs session proved one of the most fulfilling for Jimi at his new studio. Here, recordings focused on โDolly Daggerโ, โBoleroโ, โHey Baby (New Rising Sun)โ, โDriftingโ and โSlow Partโ which would posthumously be retitled โPali Gapโ by Michael Jeffery who wanted to craft a stronger tie with that song and the title of his Hawaiian film, Rainbow Bridge. The session later included work on โMidnight Lightningโ and โBeginningsโ before returning to โDolly Daggerโ before nightโs end.
