Jimi: We all went out to see the Electric Circus club in the Village, which just completely blew my mind.

♡ Studio 76/Dimensional Sound, New York City,
Jam session with: Jimi – 8-string fuzz bass, unknown (Shears?) – electric 12 string Danelectro ‘Bouzouki’ guitar, Ed ‘Bugs’ Gregory – bass, Ray Lucas -drums

Producer: Ed Chalpin
Engineer: unknown

Apart from ‘Day Tripper’ and ‘I Ain’t Takin’ Care Of No Business’ all the song titles were made up after the recording. ‘Taking Care Of No Business’ was mentioned in his 1968 deposition as being his own composition.
All four are instrumental jams which were much later overdubbed with vocals, rhythm guitar, tambourine etc. and remixed with various amounts of echo, delay etc. Day Tripper was cut up to make three separate songs: Day Tripper, Future Trip and Flashing.
