Noel: "Jimi and I messed around... Mitch was Mitch even then - crazy!! As late as November 16, when Mitch didn't show for a rehearsal, we went around to see John Banks”.
↪ Olympic Sound Studios, Jimi (at Brian Jones’ invitation) went along to the studio to watch the Rolling Stones record 'Ruby Tuesday.' Ironically, Keith Richards states in his autobiography that "Ruby Tuesday" was none other than Linda Keith.
1967.

Photocall with David Montgomery in the afternoon. At some stage during the session Montgomery placed Jimi in front of a wall with a bonfire. The smoky result was used for the inside LP cover (European releases only) of Electric Ladyland.
David Montgomery (photographer): It was actually pretty hairy. We poured a line of petrol about 15ft across and we lit it. He was standing in front of it - he could have had his head blown off. The flames go up about 15ft high.
