There was no support band.

During the show Jimi put his guitar through the low ceiling and made a hole in it. He had done this a month earlier at the New Cellar Club in South Shields and he repeated the stunt at the Club A Go Go. Here it was definitely a deliberate act and witnesses watched in amazement as Jimi rammed the headstock through the plasterboard.

Jimi greets Roy Buchanan backstage, but fails to turn up to jam later.

Two shows at 15:00 and 20:00.

Jane de Mendelssohn interviews Jimi at his Brook Street flat for the March 28 issue of International Times.

🍀 1970.

Jimi flies to London where he meets Kathy Etchingham and tries to convince her to leave her new husband and move back to New York, where Jimi assures her, “everything will be all right, all those people I was hanging out with have gone.” With Ray now living with Kathy at her Brook Street flat, Kathy helped get Jimi checked in at the Londonderry Hotel .
