🌰 London - Rehearsals (Jimi and Noel, plus John Banks - drummer of the Merseybeats sitting in for Mitch -)

Noel: "Jimi and I worried that Mitch didn't care and in November sneakily auditioned Merseybeats’ drummer John Banks (bless him). But John was tired of touring and he was nervous. Mitch's brashness worked better."

↪ Jimi and Chas Chandler visit the Cromwellian Club in London.

1967.
🌰 Sheffield, "City Hall", Yorkshire - Concert (two shows - 18.20 and 20.50).
Program in order of appearance: The Nice; Eire Apparent; Outer Limits; Amen Corner; Pink Floyd; The Move; The Jimi Hendrix Experience. MC: DJ Pete Drummond.

Noel: “Sheffield was terribly enthusiastic about us and we got torn apart coming out of the hall, losing clothing, glasses, hair. I always wondered what would happen if the detachables and semi-detachables (like hair) ran out.”

1969.
🌰 Joined by Billy Cox, Jimi and Miles returned to the Record Plant studios in New York City to continue work on several new tracks. During this session, Jimi brought in Albert and Arthur Allen (the Ghetto Fighters) to provide backing vocals for “Room Full Of Mirrors.” The basic track of “Room Full Of Mirrors” is the foundation for the recording heard on 1997’s First Ray s Of The New Rising Sun. Afterwards, Jimi and the Allen twins visited Studio B where Mountain was recording their latest hit, “Mississippi Queen”. Thrilled by the chance meeting, Jimi invited Leslie West back to his studio for a jam.
