Noel went to the office in the morning, and this time was given a meal. Then he went to the Birdland, and had a blow with Eric, and later went to rehearsals.
Chas: “Jimi got on well with Noel but used to criticize his playing. It was a love-hate relationship.”
1967.
🌵 The Wellington Club, Norfolk, Dereham. Concert (40 minutes)
Support: The Flower People, The Rubber Band.
Malcolm Hunt: “Yes I remember those nights very well, saw Cream and Pink Floyd, Cat Stevens, Small Faces, The Herd and many more, but Jimi was superb, tripping out of his head.”
Ian Vargeson: "I saw the Jimi Hendrix Experience at Dereham, I remember Jimi getting bored in the middle of one song and starting another and also damaging the ceiling with his guitar; but again we went home appreciating that we’d seen something special."
1968.
🌵 The group continues with the photo sessions with Ron Raffaelli. Jimi and Raffaelli take a spin in Jimi’s new Corvette Stingray but Jimi crashes it during the short-lived ride.
