Klooks Kleek was a popular club with the Mods, the swinging London types and pop stars , celebrities etc . The club was within The Railway Hotel and formerly ran by future journalist Richard Barnes ,whose house mate and art school friend , Pete Townshend would christen the place with his band's Auto Destructive Art in 1964 (the first rock n roll guitar smashing).
