Transmission on BBC Light radio of 'Saturday Club' with the JHE performing "Killing Floor", "Fire" and "Purple Haze".
Ipswich, "Gaumont", St. Helens Street, Suffolk
Concert (two shows - 18:35 and 20:45).
Theatre capacity: 1,800.
Both songs on B&W film from French TV pop program Bouton Rouge
Supporting: The Walker Brothers, Cat Stevens and Engelbert Humperdinck
With: The Californians; The Quotations
Songs 1st show: Wild Thing // and others unknown
Songs 2nd show: Purple Haze // and others unknown

Disc & Music Echo report by unknown: “Gary Leeds (The Walker Brothers drummer) and Jimi Hendrix formed a mini play reading group by reciting American comic strips together.”

Noel: “Did show, changed numbers, not such a good crowd tonight, French TV filmed show.”

The Experience arrive in Montreal, Canada.

The Experience Had not returned to the studio since February 1969 after a dispute at a previous session at the Olympic Studios. They meet with sound engineer Eddie Kramer at the Olmstead Studios in New York on April 1 to try to regain some dynamism.
